Sunglasses and winter gloves, two things I apparently am completely incapable of maintaining a hold over.
It’s sad how many perfectly good pair of sunglasses I’ve gone through just in the past year. Either I lose them, they get stepped on, or they get the crap beaten out of them from falling out of wherever I have them stored.
I know an easy solution is to purchase an eyeglasses case, but that could get lost just as easily. Knowing myself, I’d probably lose the case magically without the sunglasses even in them, and then the sunglasses would just pick up and walk off.
Winter gloves have now added themselves to this list. I’ve lost two pair in the past month. I don’t have a clue where they’re ending up, because I’ve looked everywhere I’ve been with them. I’m starting to think my coat pockets are eating them.
I really don’t want to be the ##-something woman walking around with glove clips and one of those librarian chains on my sunglasses.
At this point I’d take the mutant powers of cold resistance and auto-shading eyeballs over flight or immortality.
